Race Sunday Evening 11/12-2011 - Suggestion

Hey guys. Was wondering if we somehow could manage to get our Sunday Night Fun Race going once again here before the holidays?

I'm thinking about a race with Vette C6.r and its NTM.
Some of us tried it out Thursday evening at Spa, which at first was a terrifying experience because of the changing conditions with the new model on the tyres. If you we're used to drive it with the OTM, there really was a new steep learning curve for handling the car. However, as the evening progressed some of us came to quite enjoy the new handling of the C6.r, where one would be rewarded for driving nice and smoothly - and punished for sliding around the corners. I really felt the greatness of the NTM (despite its failures when the car is out of control) and drove some very cool laps. I felt it! :)

Anyway, what's the mood about this car for Sunday? Any suggestions for track perhaps?

Ps. I'm writing in english because some readers in this forum from other countries may want to join the race :)

I'll make a server starting Sunday at 3 GMT, (kl. 16 dansk tid) with practice. Qual starts at 19:40 GMT, race starts 20 GMT

Er der nogen, som har et godt setup til Atlanta, de vil dele? Jeg synes, det er vildt svært at lave et godt et til den bane med alle de sving og ujævnheder...

Vi alle kørte med baseline hvilket var rimelig okay.. Vi kunne ikke lave noget der fungerede :)

Baseline er ikke helt tosset. Jeg har justeret en lille smule, så det er mere stabilt for mig 1829 Min bedste tid er indtil videre 1:18,4 men hurtigere er bestemt muligt, hvis jeg var dygtigere til at ramme den rigtige linie - bilen kører fint.

Desværre kan jeg nok ikke nå med søndag aften alligevel, da vi får gæster. Så mens i fræser rundt i Corvette skal jeg drikke kaffe med min svigermor :105:

Surt for dig :) Jeg er efterhånden ved selv at have samlet et nogenlunde setup sammen, men det er igen bare bygget ud fra base. Justin Bright er også klar i morgen :)

16´s should be possible here :) I know i can hang with Dahl and Sandfeld but i just can´t get the car around one lap without smashing it ;)

some more training and a good solid set should provide some stable 16´s.

Well done to Anders, Jesper and Egil.

Sorry to Egil for the contact in the chicane, you took me by surprise by coming on the inside like you did. I was concentrating on Justin in front of me and wasn't expecting you to show me the real braking point for the corner :) Also, I don't know what happened a couple of laps later in t6 but I hope you didn't go off because of my doing?

It was a tough race for me. I never really could keep it on the black stuff with this M4 Sherman tank. It appeared I had the speed to keep up with Anders, Egil & Jesper over one lap but not over a full race distance. Too many mistakes and not looking after the tires well enough to be able to be competitive over a full race distance.

I think I was more a moving chicane than a competitor in this race. Congrats to all that finished, as that is an achievement all in itself... for me anyway ;)

Well I had a shocker too. I switched wheels just before quali started (bad idea, but I'd been waiting all weekend for the Thrustmaster site to come back online so I could install the drivers and try out my mates T500 RS) and found the differences between my G25 and the T500 RS too much to be consistent, straight off the bat. Apologies to anyone I got in the way of. Grats to Egil, Jesper and Anders, you guys drove an exceptional race and fully deserved your results.
